Pre-Show Checklist

Hardware

• [ ] All routes tested

• [ ] Virtual Keyboard works (emergency backup)
• [ ] Flow Graph visible on second screen

Settings

• [ ] Background mode enabled (iOS)
• [ ] Auto-sleep disabled
• [ ] Airplane mode (reduce interference)
• [ ] Volume/brightness appropriate
• [ ] Battery charged or plugged in

Recommended Setup

Primary Controller

Your main keyboard/controller routes to multiple destinations:

• Route 1: Main synth
• Route 2: Backup synth
• Route 3: DAW (recording)

Clock Management

One master clock for all devices:

• Internal Clock enabled at performance tempo
• Clock routes to all sequencers and drum machines
• Start/Stop transport enabled

Visual Monitoring

Flow Graph on second screen or iPad:

• Quick visual confirmation
• Spot issues immediately
• No need to switch views

Routing Strategies

Simple is Better

• Minimize number of routes
• Avoid complex transform stacks
• Test everything before show

Redundancy

• Backup routes to redundant gear
• Virtual Keyboard ready as fallback
• Saved profile backup on device

Quick Switching

Profiles for different songs/sets:

• Song 1 — Specific routing config
• Song 2 — Different zones/destinations
• Practice — Simple test routing

During Performance

Quick Actions

• ⌘D (macOS) — Duplicate route on the fly
• ⌘Space — Toggle route enable/disable
• Long-press route (iPad) — Quick context menu

Emergency Recovery

If something goes wrong:

1. Check Flow Graph (visual quick check)
2. Tools → Connection Manager → Reconnect All
3. Switch to backup profile
4. Use Virtual Keyboard if controller fails

Post-Show

Save Statistics

Export routing stats for analysis:

• Settings → Statistics → Export
• Review latency, message counts, errors

Backup Configuration

Save working profile:

• Settings → Profiles → Export
• Store on cloud or second device

Mobile-Specific Tips (iPad/iPhone)

Battery Management

• Fully charged before show
• Power adapter connected when possible
• Low Power Mode OFF (impacts performance)

iOS Settings

• Background App Refresh: ON for Neurode
• Auto-Lock: Never (during performance)
• Do Not Disturb: ON

Bluetooth

• Keep devices close (within 10 feet)
• Minimize interference (WiFi routers, phones)
• Wired as backup

Troubleshooting Live

No Sound

• Check route enable/disable
• Verify destination volume/patch
• Flow Graph shows activity?
• MIDI Monitor shows messages?

High Latency

• Check Route Editor stats
• Disable heavy transforms
• Close background apps
• Restart Neurode (last resort)

Device Disconnected

• Connection Manager → Reconnect
• Check physical cables
• Restart device
